Metropolitan State University celebrates Earth Hour on March 28!

earth_hourOn Saturday, March 28, Metropolitan State will celebrate Earth Hour by turning off its lights from 8:30–9:30 p.m.

Earth Hour’s mission is to raise awareness about climate change and energy conservation. This is the fifth year that businesses and organizations across Saint Paul will turn off their lights to observe Earth Hour. Some notable buildings participating this year include the State Capitol, the Landmark Center and the Central Library.

As of 2015, 162 countries across the world participate in Earth Hour. Everyone is encouraged to turn off all non-essential lights in their homes during this hour and celebrate commitment to the earth.
