The new podcast from Metropolitan State’s Communication, Writing and the Arts (CWA) department has a second episode available now for listening. The podcast, titled On Track: Conversations with CWA faculty, is an idea developed by Anne Aronson, CWA professor, and Fred Carpenter, community faculty, as a way to communicate ideas to students in a new way.
“Our department wants to break away from people looking at screens and print documents all the time,” says Aronson. “We want to bring more multi-media to students.” Aronson was also interested in podcasts due to their current popularity and relevance. The podcast is recorded at the Center for Online Learning and is produced by Brian Jackson, a Metropolitan State undergrad with experience in radio.
The second episode features Aronson discussing digital storytelling, which is also the focus of a new class offered by CWA next spring. Listen to the podcast at this link.
