Metropolitan State announces a new Foundation Board trustee

Chris BoeseMetropolitan State announces Christine M. Boese, Vadnais Heights, vice president of patient care services/chief nursing officer at Regions Hospital, as a new trustee to the Foundation Board.

Along with 21 other Foundation Board trustees, Boese will strive to generate maximum public awareness and governmental and private support for Metropolitan State in order to assist the university in its development as a comprehensive urban university for diverse student needs.

Since 2007, Boese has served in her current role at Regions Hospital where is she responsible for patient care and nursing operations. Boese started at Regions as a registered nurse in 1988 and has had several leadership positions throughout her career.

“I work at a Saint Paul hospital that benefits from an employee pool that has had the excellent training and preparation that Metropolitan State University provides to students,” Boese shares. “I also appreciate that Metro State values and actively seeks to serve a diverse student population that ultimately improves and enriches our community.”

Boese holds an associate degree in nursing from Minneapolis Community College, and from the University of Minnesota, a bachelor’s in psychology and a Master of Science in Nursing Administration.
