A state-of-the-art digital cinema at Metropolitan State is one of 61 ideas chosen as finalists in this year’s Knight Arts Challenge. This is the second in a three-year commitment by Knight Foundation to give $4.5 million to arts projects in Saint Paul. More than 450 applications were submitted earlier this year and the winners and their grant amounts will be chosen from the remaining applicants in October. Last year, 42 projects were chosen to share $1.36 million.
The contest is open to any individual, organization or business with an idea for arts and cultural projects that would engage and enrich Saint Paul. A panel of local artists and arts advocates selected the finalists and will go on to review detailed proposals for each idea to choose the winners. The full list of finalists can be found at this link.
