Puppet theater draws community to Metropolitan State

The weather was perfect last Wednesday, July 8 for the Open Eye Figure Theater’s performance of Tucker’s Robot at the David Barton Community Labyrinth and
green space next to the library. A turnout of 136 Metropolitan State students, staff and community members enjoyed the puppet show, food, lawn games and puppet making.
The Storymobile collected over 60 photo, video and text stories from people who attended the event. These autobiographical and creative works will eventually be archived by the Minnesota Digital Library.

This community event showcased the connection between Metropolitan State University and the community. Special thanks to the Metropolitan State Library, Institute for Community Engagement and Scholarship, Student Parent Center and Saint Paul Public Library for making this event possible. Photos of the event can be found in the
Library and Learning Center’s Flickr album.
