Student screenplay awards call for entries

The Screenwriting program at Metropolitan State University announces a call for entries for the 15th Annual Student Screenplay Awards. The awards create professional development opportunities for student screenwriters, recognize excellence in student screenwriting and to engage with audiences.

This screenplay competition is open to all Metropolitan State students who have attended any semester or any summer term in the calendar year 2015. Short screenplays of 8-14 pages in length are eligible.

The top three screenplays receive cash and merchandise awards. These winning screenplays will be given a staged public reading by professional actors in February 2016.

The “in office” deadline for entries is 4 p.m., Dec. 15. Winners are announced in late January.
