Student to represent Metropolitan State at Guadalajara International Film Festival

Annie Moua, a screenwriting major at Metropolitan State University, has recently been nominated by her professors to attend and represent the university at the Guadalajara International Film Festival in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Annie Moua, screenwriting major, has been nominated by her professors to represent Metropolitan State University at the Festival Internacional de Cine de Guadalajara (Guadalajara International Film Festival). The 31st edition of the festival is March 4–15, 2016, in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Each year Festival Internacional de Cine de Guadalajara (FICG) invites 30 students from universities wordwide to be a part of the Mezcal Student Jury. The purpose of the jury is to critique and select one film worthy to receive the Mezcal Best Mexican Film and 500,000 Mexican pesos.

Metropolitan State is honored to receive an invitation from FICG to send a student to be a part of the FICG 2016 Mezcal Student Jury. FICG provides lodging and food for Moua, but airfare is not included. She hopes to raise the additional funds necessary through the fundraising Web site GoFundMe.
