Feb. 4: The Many Lives of Jan Hus and Hussitism in Biographies and Appropriations

Professor Jeanne Grant, History Department, is giving a talk at the University of Minnesota at 4 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 4 in Heller Hall, 271 19th Avenue South, Minneapolis, room 1210.

The talk, entitled “The Many Lives of Jan Hus and Hussitism in Biographies and Appropriations,” is in honor of last year’s 600th anniversary of Jan Hus’ execution. The talk is a reflection on the ways that Hus and the Hussite movement have been appropriated for religious and political purposes for centuries.
