Metropolitan State’s new Science Education Center on the
Saint Paul Campus opened for classes at the start of spring semester. Two events celebrating the opening are coming up in April.
Metro State students, faculty and staff are invited to a grand opening ceremony and ribbon cutting beginning at noon, April 12. Community, business and higher education leaders, elected officials and supporters of the university are also welcome. E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call 651-793-1545 to attend. The community is also invited to an open house, 3–6 p.m., April 22. This event includes an inflatable planetarium, magic planet, slime making, dinosaur exhibit, rock exhibit, 3-D projections of the human body and microscopic examination of aquatic invertebrate pond life. Refreshments are provided and the building and classrooms will be open for self-guided tours.
The College of Science faculty and staff are also planning “Seven Days of Science” during April featuring guest speakers and activities. More information coming soon.
