Reinvent your career with a course in job searching

As students get closer to graduation, it’s time to start thinking about the next career step. Start planning now by taking METR 110: Reinventing Your Career. This two-credit course is offered in the fall, 1–4:20 p.m., Tuesdays, Sept. 20–Nov. 1 on the Saint Paul Campus.

Taught by Bill Baldus, Career Center director, METR 110 is for those who are ready to start a job search and would like structure for thinking about the world of work and a process for defining next steps in pursuing their career interests. Part job search support group and part mechanics of a productive search, Reinventing Your Career provides a forum for planning and executing an effective search.

The course also addresses the development of marketing tools including resume, cover letters and an online presence through LinkedIn. Students sharpen their networking skills and connect with professionals to learn more about their field.
