June is Men’s Health Month

Join Healthcare and Wellness Services in spreading awareness by participating in a variety of activities.

Healthcare and Wellness Services is offering opportunities which include:

  • Facebook Contest — To kick off Men’s Health Month, anyone who likes the June 1 post by Healthcare and Wellness Services will be entered to win a $50 Amazon gift card.
    Look for 30 days of health resources on our Facebook page. Follow the page for important healthcare and wellness news and events.
  • Wear Blue Day — On June 16,  show your support for men’s health by wearing blue. Look for ribbons around campus, or stop by Founders Hall 240D to pick up a men’s health awareness ribbon.
  • Freedom From Smoking Class — 32.4 percent of our male students use tobacco. Don’t be a statistic! Come and get help quitting. Join us for free smoking cessation classes, noon to 1 p.m. Thursdays, June 8, 15, 22, 29 from 12-1 p.m. Saint Johns Hall 154, Saint Paul Campus. Or, come and get information from us that a family member or friend can use to assist them in quitting.
  • Suicide Prevention Talk — National Alliance on Mental Illness will be coming out to speak about suicide prevention on June 29 from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Saint Paul Student Center, Room 101.
