A fun science-related event for the community is hosted by the Metropolitan State University Natural Sciences Department 5 to 8 p.m, Tuesday, Oct. 31, at Metropolitan State University, Jason R. Carter Science Education Center, atrium and skyway entrance
The free event is family friendly and open to the public. Activities include the ‘MetroDome Planetarium’, microscope exploration, skull and scavenger hunt, slime making and candy.
Metropolitan State’s Asian Student Organization held their seconnd annual Haunted Metro Dance on Halloween in the New Main Great Hall. It was a night of music, costumes, candy and games.
Our sources tell us that it was quite the spooooky affair.

Is there anything scarier than threats to your cyber security? Join Metropolitan State’s Cyber Security and Forensics Student Organization (CSFSO) from 11 a.m.–3 p.m., Oct. 31 at the Library and Learning Center, room 302, for a Cyber Security Awareness Month event. Bring your computer or mobile device and receive help with the following services:
- Virus detection and removal
- Social media security and privacy settings
This free event is sponsored by the CSFSO, VOICES and Computer Science/Information Technology Club student organizations. Refreshments provided. The library is located at 645 East 7th Street, Saint Paul. Parking is available at the library, First Lutheran Church and university parking lots.
