Job fairs can be crowded and intimidating.
Instead, meet with employers who are interested in Metropolitan State students and alumni at this more intimate networking event. You will be able to meet 15 employers, and have the time and space to get your questions answered.
“Meet the Employers” will be 3 to 5 p.m., May 31 at Metropolitan State University’s Student Center, 690 East Seventh Street, Saint Paul. Contact James Poole at firstname.lastname@example.org for information.
Alumni volunteers will help current students polish up their first impression skills and develop confidence for presenting themselves as attractive candidates at the upcoming Diversity Networking Job Fair. Networking prompts and activities will be provided.
The session will be 5 to 7 pm, Thursday, Sept. 7 at the Student Center, room 101, Saint Paul Campus.

The Career Center’s signature event will showcase more than 30 employers intent on hiring Metropolitan State University students and alumni at the Diversity Networking and Job Fair, 2 to 5 p.m., Sept. 28 in the Student Center, Saint Paul Campus.
Register here for the event. The first 200 students will receive a coupon redeemable at Alimama’s Metropolitan Grill in the Student Center. There will also be free professional photography services to snap a photo that could complete your LinkedIn profile.

Metropolitan State’s Career Center is hosting a Diversity Networking and Job Fair at the Minneapolis Campus. The event is 2–5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11 on the first floor of the Management Education Center. All university students and alumni are encouraged to attend and meet with dozens of employers and build networking skills. In addition to the job fair, there will be refreshments and free LinkedIn profile portraits.
This event is one of several services provided by the Career Center, located in Founders Hall 110. Students can visit the center to learn about career options, get career counseling, participate in mock job interviews, get resume and cover letter writing assistance and participate in the pathways program, which is designed to help students start their career within the insurance and financial services industry.
